Description
The Waterco MultiCyclone 16 is a durable, media-free pre-filtration unit that uses centrifugal filtration to remove up to 80% of incoming dirt and debris before your main pool or spa filter. With no moving parts and no filter media to replace, it significantly reduces maintenance and backwash frequency while preserving system flow.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits pool and spa systems where a 2″ plumbing connection is available and a pre-filter is desired.
- Ideal for use ahead of sand, cartridge or DE filters to reduce workload and extend service intervals.

Installation Notes
Turn off pump and isolate system pressure before installing. Install the unit vertically with flow arrow pointing upward. Use unions to connect the plumbing and ensure adequate straight pipe run on inlet side. After installation, purge the sediment chamber periodically by opening the purge valve to drain captured debris. Monitor system pressure and reduce bypassing accordingly.
Maintenance Tip
Periodically open the purge valve to release collected sediment and ensure optimal performance. Inspect unions and seals annually and look for accumulated debris in the chamber. If flow is reduced or filter load increases, verify that the MultiCyclone is correctly installed and functioning as a pre-filter.
