Description
Replacement wedge assembly for 4″ Hanover-style anchor sockets. Includes brass wedge, bolt and washer — designed to securely seat pool ladder or handrail posts in cast anchor sockets.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits 4″ Hanover-style anchor sockets (Hanover #40 / PS-4019 series).
- Used in pool deck anchor installations where existing wedge is worn, missing or requires upgrade.
- Suitable for above-ground and in-ground pool handrails, ladders and water feature installs using compatible anchor sockets.

Installation Notes
Remove post and old wedge from anchor socket. Clean socket bore of debris and inspect for damage. Insert the new wedge assembly into socket key-way, align wedge firmly, install bolt and washer, tighten to manufacturer-recommended torque. Reinstall ladder/rail and verify secure seating and no movement.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect anchor wedge assemblies annually during pool service. Replace if the bolt shows corrosion, wedge loosens or ladder/rail leg shows movement. Using a fresh wedge assembly maintains deck safety, ensures proper handrail stability and avoids costly repairs.
