Description
This OEM air bleeder tee assembly is designed for Pentair/Triton II and System 3 sand filter systems. It allows controlled release of trapped air in the filter tank to maintain efficient filtration and safe pressure levels.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits Pentair Triton II sand filter models such as TR50, TR60, TR100, TR140.
- Also compatible with Sta-Rite/Pentair System 3 series sand and D.E. filters (S7 M/S/D, S8 M/S/D series).
- Replace when the existing bleeder is cracked, sticks, leaks, or cannot properly vent air from the tank.

Installation Notes
Shut off pump and relieve system pressure. Unscrew the existing bleeder cap or assembly from the filter tank. Clean the mounting threads and apply pool-safe lubricant to the O-ring. Install the new 154689Z assembly and hand-tighten until snug; avoid over-torquing the plastic threads. Restore pressure and test: turn the bleeder cap slightly to verify air escapes smoothly, then close fully for standard operation.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the bleeder monthly during service visits. If you observe trapped air bubbles, slow release, leaking, or difficulty opening the cap, replace the unit to maintain optimal filter performance and prolong equipment life.
