Description
A 2″ NPT left-hand threaded spigot sand-filter drain kit designed for select Pentair sand filters. It enables secure drainage of the filter tank during service, backwash or sand replacement.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits Pentair Tagelus TA100 fiberglass sand filter tanks.
- Compatible with Pentair Triton II TR100 and TR140 sand filters.
- Also fits Triton C, Triton C-3 TR100C, TR140C and similar models when the original drain port uses 2″ NPT left-hand thread.
- Recommended when the original drain spigot is cracked, leaking, corroded or missing.

Installation Notes
Turn off pump and relieve system pressure. Drain the filter partially if necessary. Remove the old drain spigot assembly from the filter tank’s drain port. Clean and inspect the tank thread area and apply a compatible pool-safe thread sealant. Install the new 152220Z kit, hand-tighten and secure per manufacturer torque guidelines. Re-assemble the system, restore circulation and check for leaks around the new spigot.
Maintenance Tip
During seasonal equipment inspection, check the drain port for leakage, corrosion or wear. Replace the kit if evidence of threading damage, seepage or improper seating appears. A secure drain ensures efficient sand filter service and prolongs filter tank life.
