A high-capacity replacement cartridge filter element designed for certain Hayward SwimClear® and Super Star-Clear® large-capacity in-ground pool filters. Engineered for increased filtration area and extended service life to help maintain water clarity and efficient circulation.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits Hayward SwimClear and Super Star-Clear filters such as model C4020, C4025 and C4030.
- Use when the existing cartridge has collapsed, shows reduced flow, pressure is elevated or the filter system recommends replacement.
- Direct drop-in replacement for systems originally equipped with part number CX880XRE.

Installation Notes
Shut off the pool pump and relieve system pressure. Remove the filter lid and old cartridges. Clean the filter tank and inspect for debris. Insert the new CX880XRE cartridge(s), ensuring correct orientation and full seating. Replace the lid, restore circulation, and monitor pressure to confirm return to normal operating range.
Maintenance Tip
Rinse the cartridge monthly to maintain performance. Replace the cartridge if cleaning no longer restores acceptable flow, the pleated media appears worn, or the pressure differential remains elevated after cleaning. Regular maintenance extends system life and ensures clear pool water.
