Description
This union connector kit provides two genuine Hayward union connectors, each with a nut and gasket, intended for 2″ plumbing connections on select Hayward pumps, filters, and heaters. It simplifies removal and service of equipment while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant seal.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for 2″ union connections on Hayward TriStar® SP3200EE, SP3200X, SP3600 pumps.
- Also compatible with Hayward EcoStar® SP3400VSP series and NorthStar® SP4000/ SP4000X (2008 and later).
- Fits select Hayward Universal H-Series heaters, HeatPro® and SwimClear® cartridge filters where 2″ unions are specified.

Installation Notes
Shut off the pump and relieve system pressure. Remove the existing union hardware (nut, connector, gasket) from the equipment port. Clean the port face and thread area. Install the new connector body and gasket, hand-tighten the new union nut until seated, and use a hose clamp or back-nut torque per manufacturer’s recommendation. Run the system and check for leaks around the union. After 24 hours, re-check clamp torque if required.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect union connectors annually or anytime the pump is removed. Over time gaskets compress and nuts may loosen. If you notice slight leaks, softened gaskets, or difficulty removing the union nut, replace with this kit to restore service-friendly access and a secure, leak-free connection.
