Installation Notes
Turn off power and fuel supply to the heater. Open the heater access panel, drain or isolate water flow, remove the old heat exchanger assembly, clean the internal heater chamber and inspect for any debris or damage. Install the new FDXLHXA1400 assembly, secure unions, restore water flow, purge air, reconnect fuel and power, and test heater operation ensuring proper ignition, flame pattern and efficient heating.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the heat exchanger during each annual service interval for signs of corrosion, scaling, leaks or flow restriction. Clean as recommended by the manufacturer or replace the unit if performance declines to maintain heater efficiency and prevent failure.
