Description
Replacement cover o-ring designed for 2″ multiport valves and top-mount sand filters. Ensures a secure seal between the valve lid and body to prevent leaks and maintain proper system pressure.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits Hayward multiport valve models SP0715 and SP0716 (2″ side-mount) and SP0740DE (Selecta-Flo 2″) as specified.
- Also compatible with select top-mount sand filter models that use the same valve lid o-ring geometry.
- Use when the existing o-ring is worn, flattened, leaking or has been removed during service.

Installation Notes
Shut off the circulation pump, relieve system pressure and switch the multiport valve to “Backwash” position. Remove the valve lid, clean the sealing groove and surface thoroughly. Place the new SPX0715Z1 o-ring into the groove, ensure it sits evenly, re-install the lid, tighten bolts or clamp per manufacturer’s recommendation, and restore system operation. Check for seepage or abnormal pressure behavior after startup.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the o-ring each season for signs of flattening, cracking or chemical degradation. Replace proactively if it shows damage or if the multiport lid loses proper sealing under pressure—to avoid leaks and maintain optimal system performance.
