Lossless 31-band PEQ
EQ is largely avoided in audiophile applications because it can result in a loss of audio quality. But the FiiO K19 is different. Its 31-band high-precision lossless Parametric Equalizer (PEQ) complemented by Dual Engine Limiter (DEL) technology not only allows for meticulous sound sculpting across a broad frequency range without quality loss but also employs dynamic range compression and enhancement to maintain pristine audio fidelity. The K19 excels in direct adjustment of PCM signals from 44.1k to 192k without sampling rate conversion, offering unmatched control with adjustable gain and Q value for each band. Finally, you can fine-tune every band without sacrificing quality.
Advanced DSP chip technology
The FiiO K19's 31-band high-precision lossless PEQ are only possible because of its cutting-edge ADI ADSP-21565 DSP chip with SHARC+ core, a brand-new feature within FiiO's lineup. This advanced DSP chip is the linchpin in achieving the K19's audio fidelity. Operating at a high clock frequency of 800MHz and capable of executing 64-bit double-precision floating-point calculations, the DSP chip ensures that every nuance of your audio is preserved post-PEQ adjustment, delivering sound that's true to the original recording.
Dual ESS DACs for unmatched clarity
Inside the K19 are two new ESS 8-channel ES9039SPRO DAC chips, featuring the fourth generation 32Bit HyperStream architecture. This setup is particularly beneficial because it allows for better channel separation and less interference between channels.
Unrivaled headphone amplification
With an 8-channel THX AAA 788+ headphone amplifier design, the K19 can drive all kinds of headphones with ease. The THX amp chips are connected in parallel via 2x2 groups to form a totally balanced, 4-channel amplification system. The result is enhanced transients, and high-power output up to 8000mW + 8000mW with a 32Q load.
Wildly accurate decoding
The FiiO K19 is equipped with two ACCUSILICON AS318-B femtosecond crystal oscillators, which might sound like sci-fi nonsense but is actually super cool. These oscillators are ultra-precise clocks that help manage the timing of the audio signals within the device down to a quadrillionth of a second. This precision ensures that every note of your music is played at just the right time, reducing any possible distortion that can occur when timings are off. While this kind of distortion isn't always noticeable, it can absolutely make your music sound less clear, “off”, or “smeared”.
Revolutionary Digital Signal Processing: Quad-Core FPGA
The FiiO K19 uses a powerful quad-core FPGA, a first for a FiiO product. This high-definition digital signal processing center is amazing at managing a wide array of digital signals, including those from Bluetooth, USB, coaxial and optical inputs, as well as HDMI/ARC. By channeling these signals through two sets of I2S channels directly to the dual ES9039SPRO DACs, the K19 ensures that audio fidelity is preserved with minimal signal distortion or loss.
Fully Balanced Audio Circuitry
The K19 uses a fully balanced design throughout its audio signal processing chain. From the dual DACs to I/V conversion, low-pass filtering, and the balanced headphone amplifier, every stage is carefully engineered to maintain high dynamics, reduce crosstalk, and keep the output signal as clean as possible.
HDMI/ARC Support
The K19 introduces HDMI/ARC support, a new direction for FiiO desktop DACs and amps, improving the way you experience audiovisual content. With the capability to decode audio from HDMI 2.0 inputs and support for HDMI output and ARC (Audio Return Channel), the K19 extends its functionality to a broader range of audiovisual sources. It supports a high-resolution audio stream up to 192kHz/24bit via HDMI decoding/output and accommodates 44.1/48kHz sampling through HDMI ARC.
Let's keep things cool
Finally, the K19 boasts a sophisticated dual internal and external heat dissipation system, designed to manage the high power output efficiently without overheating. Thermal conductive materials inside the device facilitate heat transfer from the chips to the aluminum alloy frame, which, combined with the honeycomb mesh design of the outer body, allows for fantastic heat dissipation.
