When to Use
Use 17614COR when dealing with persistent algae outbreaks (especially mustard-yellow or green algae), before shocking after a heavy swim load, at pool opening season, or when water has turned cloudy despite normal maintenance. It’s also useful for preventative maintenance if algae growth tends to reoccur quickly in your pool environment.
Maintenance & Safety Tips
- Do not mix Yellow Out with chlorine or other chemicals before adding — always add directly to pool water.
- Ensure adequate circulation — run the pump and filter continuously during treatment and for 24 hours after.
- Use protective gloves and eyewear when handling the powder — treat like any chemical shock product.
- After the water clears, test and balance pool chemistry (pH, alkalinity, chlorine) before allowing swimmers back in.
