Installation Notes
Shut off the pump and relieve system pressure. Remove the existing union from the suction inlet. Wrap the union threads with Teflon tape or use approved sealant. Install the new union fully by hand then complete one-full turn with a wrench. Connect the stainless steel bonding lug to the system’s copper bonding conductor. Re-connect suction hose and clamp. Restore pump operation and check for proper seal and bonding continuity.
Maintenance Tip
At each service interval, inspect the union body for cracks, the threads for damage, the clamp for tightness and the bonding lug for corrosion. Replace immediately if any sign of moisture intrusion or bonding failure appears to maintain safe and compliant pool system performance.
