Description
Aquadex 50 Stain Off is a concentrated metal-stain removal treatment designed for pools and spas. It targets stains caused by copper, iron and other metal deposits in plaster, fiberglass and vinyl surfaces. It also assists in removing black-cobalt staining and preventing most troublesome metal-related discolorations.
Coverage & Application
- For best results, apply 1 quart per 10,000 gallons of water when staining is present.
- Visible stain removal may begin within 48 hours and should complete within up to 10 days, depending on age and severity of the staining.
- Compatible with chlorine, bromine and salt systems; remains effective after normal sanitizer use or acid treatments.

Installation Notes
Prior to use, balance pool water (pH 7.2-7.6, alkalinity 80-120 ppm, calcium hardness per manufacturer). Circulate the water continuously during treatment. Measure and add the product to the deepest part of the pool, then brush stained surfaces nightly until resolution. Maintain normal sanitizer levels and avoid shock for 24 hours after application.
Maintenance Tip
For ongoing protection against metal stains, install a metal sequestration agent or cartridge after the treatment completes, and resume regular monitoring of metal levels. Seasonal use can reduce stain recurrence and prolong the life of your pool surface.
